Next stop: Val d'Isère

The season opener is done – and I can be happy with 9th place in Levi.
A solid start that showed we’re heading in the right direction. The next race in Gurgl, on the other hand, is one to forget.
So over the last three weeks I’ve been working really hard. My focus was on skiing fast, clean turns again on both flat and steep terrain. We also worked intensively on different course settings – from rhythmic to completely unrhythmic, everything our coaches could come up with.
Exactly the kind of training that moves you forward.
This time we prepared on the Reiteralm. Conditions there were excellent, with hard, grippy slopes perfect for what we need. I got lots of good sessions in and feel ready for what’s next.
Now it’s on to Val d’Isère – a place I always love coming back to. The course is technically demanding, the ski fans are full of enthusiasm and the snow conditions are usually good too. In short: a perfect place to race and give it everything.
I’m really looking forward to the coming weekend.
See you soon,
Yours, Michi
